When Canadian grocery retail Sobeys contemplated the opening of their new value banner FreshCo they had to make sure the in store experience aligned with the low price value proposition.
FreshCo management engaged the Ascension global sourcing and supply chain management team to source a myriad of in store fixture, racking, and front end cash wrap systems. Taking cost out via global sourcing while insuring on spec design and quality is a core competency of the Ascension team.
Armed with a myriad of qualified Asian manufacturing options the Sobeys/FreshCo team was able to insure in store elements supported the low price, high value positioning of the new chain. While still early all indications seem to indicate FreshCo will be a stunning success among the value conscious Canadian grocery shopper.
