With the 2004 presidential election on the way, CNN's national educational unit wanted to engage elementary kids all over country in the American electoral process. The goal – educate, engage and inform tomorrow's voters on the nuances of our government.
Ascension worked with CNN writers and educational programming editors to create a classroom board game America Votes 2004 that could be used by teachers all over America as part of their daily teaching curriculum.
The Ascension team wrote, designed and creatively produced over 10,000 complete classroom game sets which were fulfilled on demand with supplies exhausted in less than 2 weeks. Additional electronic copies of the game were subsequently made available via online downloads and thousands more were used over the program's five week duration to support CNN's 2004 election coverage and commitment to America's public schools.
