When Cannon Equipment developed their game changing VersaGrid™ front-end retail merchandising system they wanted a way to shorten the manufacturing cycle time from customer purchase to retail delivery. Ascension was engaged to develop a laptop software application that enabled Cannon sales reps to custom configure front end merchandising systems right in front of their customers and push a button to web connect the order directly to the manufacturing floor.
Using PHP and Java Script technology Ascension created an elegant web enabled system that empowers Cannon customers anywhere in the world to see their modular front end fixture systems as they are designed and approve them for immediate production at Cannon plants in Tennessee.
The new VersaGrid™ sales/manufacturing portal will surely be a game changing application for Cannon and no doubt will help the commercialization of this exciting new retail fixturing system.
