Alec Smythe

Kathy Allen has over 20 years experience in the leadership and consulting arena. She has an expertise in talent management and acquisition, human resources, instructional design, program implementation, international business, and organizational effectiveness.

Prior to joining Ascension Growth & Innovation Strategies,, Ms. Allen worked as a Talent and Leadership consultant in a variety of industries, including hospitality, manufacturing, education, healthcare and telecommunications. She started her career with The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company, rapidly advancing in operations and human resources positions. As an international training director, she was charged with staffing and integrating the world-renowned Ritz-Carlton culture throughout Asia, Europe, and the Middle East, and she was part of the team that helped the company achieve the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award.

Ms. Allen also worked with a consulting firm on a diversity and organizational change initiative that helped a major gas/pipeline company expanding into the telecommunications arena. She served as a consultant for Franklin Covey Company, facilitating the organization's top programs including The Seven Habits of Highly Effective People, the Advantage Series, and Focus. During her career, Ms. Allen's design of new employee on-boarding programs within healthcare has been honored as best in class.

Ms. Allen is based in Atlanta and holds a bachelor's degree in business management from Shorter College.
